Discover the World of Hydraulic Hoses – Visit our rubicon workshop!

Invitation to our Workshop:
If you are interested in modern hydraulic applications or work in the industry, our upcoming workshop on hydraulic hose manufacturing is for you! Find out why hydraulic hoses are so crucial for numerous industrial applications and what impact their quality has on the efficiency of machines.
Why Are Hydraulic Hoses Important?
Hydraulic hoses are the backbone of many machines and systems in the construction, agricultural, and manufacturing industries, as well as in maritime and aerospace technology. They transport pressurised fluids, ensuring the movement and operation of machines. Proper manufacturing and selection of these hoses are critical to prevent system failures, enhance safety, and extend the lifespan of equipment.
How is it Made?
At their core, hydraulic hoses are composed of three essential layers, each with a vital role:
Inner Tube: This layer ensures compatibility with the fluids it carries, typically made from compounds like EPDM or nitrile rubber. Each material is carefully chosen for its resistance to specific chemicals, temperatures, or conditions.
Reinforcement Layer: Surrounding the inner tube, this layer provides strength and pressure resistance. Depending on the application, it can be made of braided wire, spiral-wound wire, or textile yarn.
Outer Cover: The final layer shields the hose from external threats like abrasion, corrosion, and UV exposure. Its durability ensures the hose performs reliably in harsh environments.
What to Expect in Our Workshop:
In our workshop, you will gain insights into the latest technologies and processes that ensure hydraulic hoses meet the high demands of the industry. Here are some highlights:
New Generation of the Cross-Extrusion Head Type Q 35/125 VH-R-SO: with PLC-controlled electromechanical wall thickness adjustment and centring. Together with a separate X-ray measuring unit, this system adjusts the hose wall thickness and centring of the hoses online, which minimises manual adjustment and increases production efficiency and traceability.
You will also see the following equipment integrated into the line:
- Caterpillar Machine: for pushing, pulling and feeding the mandrel into the crosshead.
- Laser Diameter Measuring System with X-Y Axis.
- Cold Feed Standard Extruder, Type EEK 125.16 S – 135/50.
- Inkjet Printer.
- Cooling Section with Support Rollers.
- Powdering Machine with ATEX Certification.
- Caterpillar for Pulling through the Cooling Section.
- Line Control with Touchscreen.
